Another great run of Cerebus in Hell? strips. I look forward to one day having a these on a bookshelf right next to my Garfield collection.

I think CIH? is a *little* bit clverer than Garfield, Gary. Wouldn't that be a case of slumming it for A-V, Inc.?

cleverer or more clever

Sheesh.

Gary and Jeff - Thanks! The way I look at it, anytime a comics creation no one has heard of -- like CEREBUS -- appears on a bookshelf with a comics creation everyone has heard of -- like GARFIELD --as the creator, you have to call that a win.

But, I'm also pleased anytime someone thinks my work cleverer/more clever than that of someone who makes in a week what I made in the 1990s.

Well, Dave, you did it with more panache.

Which, as they say, with a coupla bucks, will buy you a cup of coffee.

Here are this week's suggested corrections:

Strip 1, panel 2, balloon 2, line 3--Change the period to a question mark after WHAT

Strip 2, sidebar, line 1--Technically, it should be IS [...] A NUMBER

Strip 6, sidebar, line 2--Insert a comma after PRODUCTIVITY

Strip 6, panel 2, balloon 3, line 1--VERTICE is not a word. You mean VERTEX. The plural of VERTEX is VERTICES, but I think here you mean it in the singular. So; VERTEX.

And, that's it for now.

On the strip 1 correction, I suggest that it's ok as is because the lack of a question mark conveys that Cerebus doesn't really care about the answer when he "asks" Satan.

Another fun crop, btw.

Yeah, Trav, I actually hmmed and hawed on that one. I can live with either way. Heh. (Like I get a say.)

"Vertice" was intentional to illustrate that it was complete politically-correct bafflegab. Taking a plural term and taking the "s" off of it. Some (alas, the humourless not amongst them) would call that "witty".

While I am not completely humourless (I *did*, ahem, buy and read Cerebus for over twenty years and Guys is my favorite phonebook), I have to admit that that little "witty", that is, tee-hee, plumb evaded me.

Sorry.
